GPSControl for Claude and ChatGPT
Ask your fleet a question in plain language, in Georgian, English or Russian.
What it does
The GPSControl connector lets you ask questions about your own vehicles inside Claude or ChatGPT, instead of opening the tracking website and building a report. It answers from the same data your account already sees, in your account's own units and language.
It is read only. There is no tool that can move, rename or delete anything, send a command to a vehicle, or change a setting. The assistant can tell you a vehicle's engine is running; it cannot switch it off.
Before you start
- A GPSControl account. The connector shows only the vehicles that account can already see, and only the features it is already entitled to.
- A Claude or ChatGPT plan that allows custom connectors. On Claude this is under Settings, Connectors. On ChatGPT it currently requires developer mode.
- Your own username and password. You sign in on our own page during connection, and neither Claude nor ChatGPT ever sees your password.
Connecting
- In Claude, open Settings, Connectors and choose Add custom connector. In ChatGPT, open Settings, Connectors with developer mode enabled.
-
Paste this server URL exactly:
https://api.gpscontrol.ge/mcp/fleetMake sure nothing is appended to it. A stray full stop or space at the end is the most common reason a connection fails. - A GPSControl sign-in page opens. Enter your username and password, and your two-factor code if your account uses one.
- Review what you are granting and confirm. The connector is then connected, and you can ask it questions in any conversation.
You can disconnect at any time from the same screen. Disconnecting immediately revokes the connector's access to your account.
Things to ask
Ask in whichever language you prefer. These each use a different part of the connector.
Where is Demo Sprinter 1 right now?
Returns the street address, the current status and the time the vehicle last reported.
რომელი მანქანები მოძრაობს ახლა?
A fleet overview, grouped by what each vehicle is doing.
Сколько топлива израсходовал автопарк в прошлом месяце?
Fuel burned over a period, measured from trips, in your account's own units.
Was any vehicle at our Rustaveli depot last Tuesday, and how long did it stay?
Checks your own saved sites against where vehicles actually stopped.
Run the start and stop report for last week and show me the longest trips.
Runs one of the platform's own reports and returns its table.
What it can answer
Seventeen tools cover the everyday questions and answer in prose: live location, vehicle details, a fleet overview, trips, a combined trip and stop timeline, fuel consumption, fuel card refuels, sites serviced, working hours, alerts, temperature readings, traffic penalties, maintenance due, nearest vehicles, nearest sites, which vehicles were at a place, and tracker activity.
Two more reach the platform's full reporting: one runs any of the 49 reports and returns its own table, and one lists those reports with a description of each. Ask "what reports can you run?" to see them.
History questions take a period, and most cover up to 31 days at a time. A few of the denser ones, such as raw temperature traces, cover up to 7 days. The assistant states the period it actually used in its answer.
If something goes wrong
- "No MCP server was found at the provided URL"
- Your sign-in worked and only the address is wrong. Check the URL has nothing extra on the end, then reconnect.
- A tool says you do not have access
- The connector applies exactly the permissions your account already has. If your role cannot open fuel reports on the website, it cannot read them here either. Ask your account administrator.
- A report comes back empty
- Usually the vehicles involved do not have the hardware that report needs, such as a fuel probe or a temperature sensor. The report runs and honestly reports nothing rather than failing.
- A vehicle is not found
- Try the licence plate rather than the name, or the other way around. The connector only searches vehicles your account can see.
