Privacy policy: GPSControl AI connector

How the connector handles your data when you use GPSControl inside Claude or ChatGPT.

Effective 1 September 2026.

Who this is about

The GPSControl AI connector is provided by Casatrade LTD (registration number 206344213), Nodar Bokhua St. 4, Tbilisi, Georgia, which operates the GPSControl fleet tracking platform.

This policy covers the connector specifically: what happens when you link your GPSControl account to Claude or ChatGPT and ask questions through it. Your use of the GPSControl platform itself remains governed by your existing agreement with us and by our general website privacy policy.

Where the connector shows information about your drivers and vehicles, your organisation decides what is collected and why, and we handle it on your instructions. In data protection terms your organisation is the controller of that information and we act as its processor.

What the connector collects

The connector creates no new information about you or your vehicles. It reads what your GPSControl account already holds. The only records it adds are the ones needed to keep you signed in:

  • The connection itself. When Claude or ChatGPT registers with us it records the client's name and the address it returns to after sign-in.
  • Access credentials. After you sign in and consent, we issue an access token and a refresh token bound to your account, and record which account granted them and when.
  • Standard web records. Our servers record the usual details of a request reaching them: network address, timestamp, the address requested and the response status. These do not contain your questions or the answers returned.

What the connector can show you

Once connected, it can read the same information your account can already open on the website, scoped to your own organisation and to your own role's permissions. That includes:

  • Vehicle positions, addresses, trips, stops and speeds, live and historic.
  • Fuel consumption, fuel card purchases, temperature readings, sensor states and engine diagnostics.
  • Alerts, traffic penalties, maintenance reminders and the sites your vehicles visited.
  • Information about the people who drive: driver names, their working hours, their check-ins at sites, tasks assigned to them, driving behaviour events, and photographs they submitted.
  • Account administration records, where your role allows it, including which users signed in, when, from which network address, and what they changed.

The connector cannot change any of it. Every tool it offers reads; none writes, deletes, or sends a command to a vehicle.

How it is used, and what we do not do

The information is used for one purpose: answering the question you asked, at the moment you asked it.

  • We do not keep a record of your questions or the answers. The connector does not log the text of a request or the data it returned. Once a request is answered, nothing of its content is retained on our side.
  • We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
  • We do not use it to train artificial intelligence models.
  • We do not read your conversations. The connector receives only the specific request an assistant makes to it, never the surrounding conversation, your files, or anything else in your Claude or ChatGPT account.

Who it is shared with

Using the connector means sending your fleet data to the assistant you connected it to. This is the point of it, and it is worth being explicit about.

When you ask a question, the information the connector returns, which may include vehicle positions, addresses, driver names and the other categories listed above, is transmitted to Anthropic (for Claude) or OpenAI (for ChatGPT) so that the assistant can compose an answer. What that provider then does with it is governed by their privacy policy and by your own agreement with them, not by this one. If you are not willing for fleet data to reach that provider, do not connect the connector.

Beyond that, the connector shares your information with no one. We disclose data otherwise only where the law requires it of us.

Storage and security

  • All traffic runs over HTTPS. The connector refuses unencrypted connections.
  • Sign-in uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. You enter your password on our own page. Claude and ChatGPT never receive it and never store it.
  • Access is limited to a single scope that permits reading fleet data and nothing else, and every request is checked twice: once that the token is valid and unexpired, and again that your own role permits that particular kind of data.
  • Every result is bounded by the vehicles your account may see. The connector has no way to reach another organisation's data.
  • Data is stored on our servers, alongside the GPSControl platform itself.

How long it is kept

We would rather not hold data we do not need, so each of these is kept only as long as it is useful.

  • Access tokens expire two hours after they are issued.
  • Refresh tokens expire thirty days after they are issued, and sooner if you disconnect.
  • Questions and answers are not stored at all, so there is nothing to retain.
  • Web server records are kept for two years, and longer only where a customer has asked for it and their contract says so.
  • Your underlying fleet data is kept for an average of two years, as part of the GPSControl platform and under your existing agreement with us. Connecting the assistant does not extend it.

Your choices

You can disconnect the connector at any time from the connector settings in Claude or ChatGPT. Disconnecting revokes its access immediately, and no further request can be made on your behalf.

You may have rights over your personal information under the law that applies to you, including the right to ask what we hold and to ask us to correct or delete it. Write to support@casatrade.ge and we will respond. If you are a driver or employee asking about your own information, contact your employer first: the data is theirs, and we act on their instructions.

Changes

If we change how the connector handles your information we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be communicated to account holders.
